Louis Vuitton Foundation Museum in Paris

Nowadays, it is difficult to surprise anyone with museums, so you need to be able to create them with imagination. But this is not easy, says 87-year-old architect Frank Gehry, who built the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao (1997), the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles (2003), and on October 27, 2014 presented his new brainchild to the audience - Louis Vuitton Foundation Museum of Modern Art in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris. Work on the museum with a budget of $ 143 million has been going on for 13 years, it has 11 exhibition halls, open terraces with amazing views of the Eiffel Tower, an audience for art installations with a capacity of up to 350 people. The impressive "sails" of the museum's facade are made of 3600 glass panels. Thanks to the Louis Vuitton Foundation, Europe finally recognized the names of artists Olafur Eliasson, Sarah Morris, Tarin Simon, Serit Vin Evans and many others.

This summer, from May 11 to the end of August, the Foundation presents the installation of "Observatory of Light, Work in Situ" by popular conceptual artist Daniel Buren. He decorated the building's panels with a multitude of color filters, which will create constantly appearing and disappearing color figures with changing the time of day and year. Through a play of colors, projections, reflections, transparency and contrast - both inside and outside - Daniel Buren will show the famous building in a new light.
