The famous ballet theater named after P.I. Tchaikovsky from St. Petersburg and the newly formed Festival Choir of the Dubai Opera will for the first time present on the stage of the Dubai Opera House one of the most magnificent and triumphal works in the history of music - the oratorio by Georg Friedrich Handel "Messiah".
According to music professionals, this music is full of cosmic energy and spiritually uniting people of joy. Despite the absence of specific heroes, the oratorio contains many solo and duet numbers: recitations accompanied by harpsichord; lyrical, pastoral and heroic arias, especially arios, as well as ariosos and duets.
The "Messiah" can be called a huge heroic praise. This "Life of a Hero" of the 18th century is compositionally embodied in the form of a musical triptych, like those written by religious masters of the Renaissance: I. Birth, childhood (first nineteen issues); II. Feat (twenty three numbers); III. Triumph (nine rooms). The oratorio is written for the choir, orchestra and four soloists (singing voices).
