A seven-year-old girl from Tajikistan came to the United Arab Emirates to meet in person with the ruler of Dubai.

Seven-year-old Makhina Ganieva from Tajikistan was born with a rare heart disease. Due to an illness, she could not go to school and play with her peers. However, thanks to the timely intervention of a team of doctors from Dubai, Mahina can now lead a full-fledged lifestyle.

On Tuesday, May 28, the girl arrived from Tajikistan to the United Arab Emirates to personally thank His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai, for helping her and thousands of children.

At the annual event dedicated to the international initiatives of Muhammad bin Rashid, Makhina took the stage, expressed her gratitude to Sheikh Muhammad and hugged him.

According to Dr. Obeid Al-Jassim, a cardiac surgeon who operated on the girl when she was not even six years old, Makhina suffered from a rare disease caused by a combination of four types of heart disease. The girl became a member of the Nabazat program from the humanitarian organization Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment.

The doctor said that the team managed not only to eliminate the ailment, but also to reunite the girl’s parents. He added that the institution annually carries out from four to five missions to different countries and helps hundreds of children.
