Sharjah police have helped a group of elderly pilgrims from Russia who find themselves in a difficult situation.

Emirate police in Sharjah, UAE, came to the aid of a group of elderly pilgrims from Russia who were heading to Saudi Arabia. The bus in which elderly Russians rode broke, and a group of seven women and three men lingered for several days in Sharjah. Their visas have expired.

When the Sharjah police learned about the plight of the pilgrims, they intervened and provided the elderly with housing. The police also started issuing visas with officials from Saudi Arabia.

Major General Saif Al-Qiri Al-Shamsi, Sharjah Police Commander-in-Chief, said the responsibility of the police is related to the values ​​and traditions of the people regarding hospitality, and the country's wise leadership helps provide assistance to all those in need.
