UAE government approved visa-free regime for Kazakhstanis

The United Arab Emirates approved a visa-free regime for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On the Instagram page of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Kazakhstan, a congratulation was published addressed to the citizens of Kazakhstan on the entry into force of a visa-free regime.

"We congratulate the friendly people of Kazakhstan on the fact that on March 10, 2018, a visa-free regime for citizens of Kazakhstan with a term of stay in the United Arab Emirates up to 30 days will come into force. We wish you a pleasant stay in the UAE," the report says.

The visa-free regime will work from March 10, 2018.

"Kazakhstan and the UAE have completed domestic procedures in accordance with the agreement between the two states on the abolition of visa requirements for citizens of both countries, holders of passports with a validity of up to 30 days, signed in Astana in May 2017," the head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan wrote Anuar Zhainakov on his Facebook page.

For reference: May 23, 2017 in Astana, following the results of negotiations between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kairat Abdrakhmanov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahayan, a Protocol was signed on reciprocal visa-free travel for citizens who hold passports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates.

On July 20, 2017, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan by its resolution approved the aforementioned Protocol on amendments and additions to the intergovernmental Agreement of May 13, 2010.

On July 26, 2017, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, through diplomatic channels, informed the UAE foreign department about the completion of domestic procedures in Kazakhstan necessary for the entry into force of the bilateral Protocol.
