The license plate number "2" of series 1 was the most expensive lot at an auction in Abu Dhabi, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the metropolitan police. It was acquired for 10.1 million dirhams ($ 2.75 million).
The total revenue generated by the popular auction at the Emirates Palace Hotel exceeded AED 55 million ($ 14.9 million)
Abu Dhabi police, in collaboration with Emirates Auction, held a public auction to mark the 60th anniversary of its founding.
Five double-digit numbers, fifteen three-digit, nineteen four-digit and seventeen five-digit numbers were put up for auction. Number "2" was the only unique number at the auction and the first single-digit number of the 1st series.
Other auction numbers were 10, 60, 333, 600, 999, 1000, 1111, 5050, 6000, 6060, 6666, 9090, 9999, 10000, 55555, 60000, 66666.
