The operator of the elevator in Dubai will serve a three-month prison sentence for kissing a woman's hand in the elevator.
The Dubai Court of First Instance convicted a 26-year-old cameraman from Pakistan who molested a woman from South Africa, kissed her hand and tried to hug her.
The woman told the police that the man she had first seen in her life harassed her in the elevator of an office building in Dubai where she works.
According to the testimony of the victim, soon after the elevator began to move up, a native of Pakistan wanted to shake her hand. The matter was not limited to shaking hands, the accused kissed the woman’s hand, and then tried to hug her, which the victim managed to stop.

In court, the accused pleaded not guilty. But Judge Mohammad Jamal, the host of the trial, issued a guilty verdict and stated that the accused would be deported after serving a prison term.
A court decision may be appealed within 15 days.
