Dubai recognized as the most popular place to stay in the Middle East

For the third year in a row, while conducting a study on which cities residents of the Middle East and North Africa region prefer to live in, Dubai was recognized as the most popular and favorite place to live. The second line of the list of the most preferred cities is the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, the third is Doha (Qatar), the fourth is Manama (Bahrain), the fifth is Muscat (Oman), the sixth and seventh are Riyadh and Jeddah ( Saudi Arabia). "This study was carried out under exceptional circumstances - during the wave of Arab revolutions that swept through many countries last year, which negatively affected the large number of indicators that we took into account," said Osama Al Renna, editor-in-chief of the Arab business publication Saneou Al Hadath "The cities of the GCC countries continue to occupy leading positions in many of the indicators that we took into account. The biggest competition, as always, remains between Dubai and Abu Dhabi."

An annual study to identify the “Best Arab City to Reside” has been underway since 2007. It analyzes and takes into account indicators identified by international research institutions, including business, economics, healthcare, education, telecommunications, transportation, security, human rights, culture and leisure. This year, two new categories were included in the study: the best Arab city in the Levant region (countries of the eastern Mediterranean) and North Africa, where Amman and Tunisia became leaders.
