At the crossroads of civilizations

Emirate collector Ahmed Obeid Al Mansouri showed the general public a collection of artifacts, which included ancient manuscripts and historical finds belonging to different eras.
In total, the Crossroads of Civilizations Museum, located on the territory of the historical village of Shindaga, has 875 exhibits.

The connoisseur of antiquities collected them for 30 years. Among them - a figurine of a bull, created 7500 years ago, a vase of Ubaid culture (3000-3800 BC), as well as the first English translation document from the Persian Gulf region (1601), musical notes of Ludwig van Beethoven and much more. One of the most valuable artifacts is the book of 1589, in which for the first time modern names of settlements and islands of the UAE are mentioned. It was acquired from a private collection of a Venetian merchant. It mentions that Italian jeweler Di Gasparo Valbi bought pearls in the town of Dubai, now Dubai. In total, there are 20 copies of this book in the world, most of them are stored in Japan.

Al Mansouri woke up to a passion for collecting antiques at the age of 19. He bought something himself, he inherited some items from his father and grandfather. All artifacts underwent international examination, which confirmed their age and "purity of origin."
