SUPERCREATIVE DUTCH DESIGNER MARSEILLE VANDERS CREATES ART OBJECTS INJECTED BY A CULTURAL ENVIRONMENT AND DELIVERING GREAT AESTHETIC PLEASURE. THE PRINCIPLE OF THEIR SIMPLE - RETHINKING THE OLD GOOD CLASSICS.

One of the most extraordinary and extravagant industrial artists in the world, calling himself "the designer of a new era," produces objects that are pleasant to watch and interesting to talk about. And he does it in a manner peculiar to himself, namely, supplementing ultramodern objects with historical motives. “We don’t need to strive for absolute novelty. We need roots, a foundation and, at the same time, some changes. The world of design is too focused on young people, and I always remember that I have a mother and I should like my things,” he said. Alchemist of design.

One of the Dutch favorite items is Delft porcelain, reminiscent of traditional Russian gzhel. Marcel Wanders did not avoid turning to him, creating a collection of porcelain with hand-painted for the Royal Ceramic Manufactory. “I like it when you see craftsmanship in things, or at least the memory of it, beauty and non-functionality,” Vanders explained, using avant-garde drawings for painting classic interior items.

The designer’s creations can be found in the collections of the V&A Museum in London, decorative art in Copenhagen and the Museums of Modern Art in New York and San Francisco.
