Zighy bay. A world without time

ARE AWAY FROM NOISY DUBAI, ALMOST AT THE END OF THE MUSANDAM PENINSULA, THE SIX SENSES ZIGHY BAY HOTEL IS LOCATED. THIS IS A GREAT PLACE FOR REST IN ONE OF THE PARADISE CORNERS OF OUR PLANET.

Formally, this part of the peninsula belongs to the Sultanate of Oman, so in order to come here, you need to get a visa. If you are traveling from Russia, it will take 10 minutes, residents of the UAE need to take care of this in advance (request a visa from the hotel at least three days in advance). However, it’s worth coming here, and that's why. Firstly, just two hours from Dubai - and you find yourself in another country. Secondly, the type of vacation that the hotel offers, you will not find anywhere else in the UAE. Perfectly white sand, the purest azure sea, tranquility, silence, solitude and enjoyment of untouched nature surrounded by the Hajar Mountains.

You should definitely take a walk along the seashore, especially at sunrise, or do yoga. As you know, the contemplation of beauty is the first step to purifying consciousness

The hotel has no familiar rooms, there are only villas, the architecture of which is emphasized authentic - this is how they used to live in Oman. Everything is made of natural material: wood, stone, reed and clay. Perhaps the creators intentionally did not want to make rooms with modern furniture, iPhone docking stations, etc. And if at first it may seem that the villas are rustic and unpretentious, over time you realize that this is the special charm of the place, its spirit and originality. At the same time, there is no doubt - the level of service here is at the highest level.

Despite the fact that the hotel offers guests quite a few different types of leisure activities, it may very well be that you do not want to leave your villa at all. Yes, and why? There is a pool, gazebos, a garden, a chessboard, a spacious living room, and some villas have their own gym, kitchen, rooms for nannies and even their own SPA room.

Nevertheless, it is certainly worth taking a walk along the seashore, especially at sunrise, or doing yoga. Can anything be compared with Virabhadrasana - the pose of war, accumulating the morning energy of the sun on a secluded beach? Around the hotel for many kilometers there is no settlement, not a single village, so the energy of this place is surprisingly clean. Even a day at Six Senses Zighy Bay can charge you weeks in advance. This place still carries a charge of some distant and rare spirituality today, not in the sense of religion, but in the sense of the purity of the surrounding vibrations.

Here you do not want to watch TV, listen to popular music, spend time on social networks. Here you just want to be - look at the sea, rocks, palm trees, listen to the sound of the wind, birdsong and watch life as it is. And as you know, the contemplation of beauty is the first step to purifying consciousness.

Forget about the “Louboutin" and evening dresses - here they are unlikely to be useful to you. Sand is poured throughout the hotel (as in the resorts of the Maldives), so shoes should be practical. Each villa has bicycles that allow you to move freely throughout the hotel. There is even an organic garden where they grow their herbs and fruits, as well as tomatoes, cucumbers, beets, lettuce, parsley, spinach, basil and even pomegranates, which are served in local restaurants. In addition, a thousand date palm trees and 130 fig trees adorn the resort.

All Six Senses resorts are famous for their spas, and Zighy Bay is no exception. Famous doctors with international recognition and yoga teachers, gurus of various therapeutic detox practices and masters of meditation often come here. Six Senses SPA-salon has nine treatment rooms, and besides this, there is a phyto-bar and two traditional Arab hammams. It offers a wide variety of local treatments, such as a four-hand Sensory Spa massage and the local Wonders of Oman.

Each villa has a GEM (guest experience manager) assigned. This service is very convenient: all questions can be asked directly to him - he will tell you about the hotel restaurants, SPA-center, places where you can do outdoor activities, and, if necessary, book a paragliding flight - from a Ziggy cliff 293 meters high above sea level . Flying together with an experienced instructor guarantees you an unforgettable experience and amazing views of the bay.

Zigi Bay washes the shores of the Musandam Peninsula, where goats roam the mountain trails. Before the advent of Six Senses Zighy Bay, there was a tiny fishing village cut off from the world by the ridge of the Hajar Mountains
