Jean-Christophe Babin: We can say this - we know what women expect from us. We have learned to predict their desires and make just such jewelry that they dreamed about. This time we tried to do the same for men. We wanted to create a watch that would fill any man with feelings similar to those that embrace a woman when looking at an elegant jewelry. We believe that sophistication is the main luxury of men. And sophistication often involves subtle and elegant forms.
Surprisingly, very few watch brands are creating thin men's watches. Our watchmakers have devoted several years to developing this model. It all started with a simple sketch, but in the end we got a completely new mechanism - not only ultra-thin, but also surprisingly melodic and elegant, like all watches with a fight, which are usually two to three times larger. We also managed to achieve harmony and purity of sound. The height, tonality and volume level of the mechanism were repeatedly tested in a special room using the most modern computer equipment.
What materials were used in the production?
Jean-Christophe Babin: The case is made of titanium; this metal guarantees the highest possible sound conductivity. In addition, hour markers and a small second dial are also made of titanium and are cut directly into the dial, which allows you to enhance the resonance.
This year, you have also perfected the beloved female model of Serpenti, equipping it with a tourbillon.
Jean-Christophe Babin: Serpenti is our brand name, our mascot and our best-selling collection along with B.zero1.
We turned to this image more than once and produced bracelets and watches in the shape of a curled snake - these are the Tubogas model, as well as some models in the Jewelery and High Jewelery collections. The last Serpenti Incantati Skeleton Tourbillon watch, made in the form of a diamond snake wrapping around a skeletonized dial, we equipped for the first time with a tourbillon.
This model is for women who want to see on their wrists not just watches, but also a piece of jewelry. Recently, women have become better at understanding watch complications, understanding and loving them.
