The educational regulator of the United Arab Emirates announced the upcoming vacation for students.
The UAE's Department of Knowledge and Human Development (KHDA) announced that the new school year after long summer vacations will begin on Sunday, September 1, 2019.
This means that this summer the children will rest for a total of eight weeks.
Teachers will return to work in the last week of August to prepare for the new school year.
KHDA also announced winter vacation dates. Students will rest for almost a month - from December 15, 2019 to January 9, 2020.
For other public holidays, schools will report weekends and holidays as the holiday dates are officially confirmed.
