Already this year, the first Emirate SUV to enter the UAE

The United Arab Emirates announced the release date of the first domestic four-wheel drive car.

The first all-wheel drive vehicle from the UAE called Al Reem will appear in the local and Arab markets by the end of this year, representatives of the automaker Sandstorm Automotive Factory said at a press conference in Dubai Investment Park.

At the first stage, 13 thousand cars will be assembled. The company also announced plans to produce an S24 pickup truck. Both cars are designed and manufactured with the involvement of the emirate workforce. The company emphasizes that it has already begun hiring an even larger number of emirate employees as part of achieving the goals of the UAE Vision 2030 strategy.

Dr. Majida Al-Azazi, CEO of Sandstorm Automotive Factory, has announced the second car factory in Abu Dhabi. She emphasized that Sandstorm Factory is the foundation for the region’s growing automotive industry. The new plants, she said, will attract foreign manufacturers in the UAE, which will ultimately contribute to the development of the industry.

“By producing local cars designed and manufactured by local personnel with the involvement of foreign experts, we are focused on the development of national industry,” Al-Azazi said.

Inspired by the beauty and speed of the gazelle in honor of which Al Reem is named, the SUV can easily cross sand dunes and rough roads. Al Reem will be available in six different colors - black, gray, silver, gold, pearl white and white - and the S24 in three - black, brown and white.
