New Year's Eve in Abu Dhabi will be denied entry for heavy vehicles.
Dubai, UAE. Entry for trucks will be banned in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, from December 31 to January 1, the emirate police said. This decision was made to ensure road safety on New Year's Eve.
Compliance with the rule will be monitored by a smart traffic monitoring system. The police also urges all residents and guests of the emirate to observe increased vigilance on the roads, observe high-speed mode, fasten seat belts and not use mobile phones while driving.
