Russia remains a key driver of Dubai's tourism market growth.
Dubai, UAE. The Russian Federation remains one of the key tourism markets for Dubai with an annual increase in tourist flow of 60%, according to statistics from the Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing of the emirate.
In the first 9 months of this year, 460 thousand tourists from Russia visited Dubai. The increase in tourist flow was supported by an increase in the capacity of direct non-stop flights from Russian regions to Dubai by 19%. Also, the facilitated visa regime introduced two years ago continues to influence the growth of tourist flow, the department notes.
In the first three quarters of 2018, Dubai was visited by 11.58 million international tourists. Currently, the emirate offers to accommodate 706 hospitality facilities, and the total number of rooms totals 112 381 rooms. The average hotel load in the past period was 75%.
