New mall in Abu Dhabi agrees to open stores with 40 brands

Al Maryah Central Shopping Center in the capital of the United Arab Emirates has already made arrangements with 40 international brands.

Alshaya Group has announced the rental of nearly 40 premises at the upcoming Al Maryah Central mall in Abu Dhabi.

The statement said deals were made with brands such as Debenhams, H & M, Victoria's Secret, Zara, Massimo Dutti, All Saints and Lululemon.

Restaurants have confirmed rentals from Bouchon Bakery, Blaze Pizza, The Cheesecake Factory, PF Chang's and Texas Roadhouse.

The mall will open a 21-screen VOX cinema with IMAX.

Alshaya also made arrangements with family brands and home furnishings - Mothercare, Pottery Barn and West Elm.

However, it became known that Macy's and Bloomingdale's were not opened in the mall, as previously planned. Macy's in Abu Dhabi was supposed to be the first store of the brand outside the US, and Bloomingdale's was supposed to be larger than the department store in Dubai Mall.

According to the schedule, Al Maryah Central will open next year. It will be connected by an air-conditioned corridor to the Galleria Shopping Center. It features luxury brands such as Dior, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Zuma, La Petite Maison, Coya, Nusr-Et and Roberto's.
