The issue of accessibility in the UAE of the new iPhone with two SIM-cards remains open

The largest telecommunications companies in the United Arab Emirates intend to support the function of two SIM-cards in the new iPhone.

UAE telecom operators du and Etisalat are working with Apple to provide dual SIM support for owners of the new iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR, according to media reports.

Recall that pre-orders for the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max began on September 14, and the XR can be ordered on October 19.

The new iPhones support dual SIM through virtual card technology or nano-SIM. However, on the frequently asked questions page, du noted that "phones with e-SIM / dual SIM cards will not be available in the UAE."

The Apple website also says that "the use of a virtual SIM card on the iPhone may be disabled when purchased from some carriers."

Referring to both companies, TechRadar reports that du and Etisalat are working with Apple to enable customers to work with two SIM cards on new devices in the near future.
