Russian Deputy Foreign Minister discusses situation in Palestinian territories and in Yemen in UAE

At a meeting in the United Arab Emirates, the deputy foreign ministers of the Russian Federation and the UAE foreign minister stressed the need to resolve conflict situations in these regions.

MOSCOW, June 22. / TASS /. Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and African Countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed on Friday in Dubai with the UAE State Minister of Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash the situation in Yemen, the Palestinian territories and the Persian Gulf zone. This is stated in the message of the Russian diplomatic service.

"In an exchange of views on the situation in the Middle East region, special attention was paid to the situation in Yemen, the Palestinian territories, Libya and the Persian Gulf zone. At the same time, the need to resolve the conflict situations existing here, including humanitarian aspects, based on respect for the fundamental principles of international rights and provisions of the UN Charter, "the Foreign Ministry noted.

“During the conversation, a number of topical issues were discussed regarding the further progressive development of traditionally friendly Russian-Emirate relations, with emphasis on maintaining an active political dialogue,” the ministry emphasized.
