The world's largest coral reef garden will open in the UAE

The largest coral reef park in the world will be launched in the emirate of Fujairah.

The UAE's Ministry of Climate and Environment and the Fujairah Center for Adventures signed a memorandum of understanding this week that will create the world's largest coral reef garden in the emirate of Fujairah.

The project is part of the projects within the framework of the "Year of Zayed".

"We want to ensure environmental sustainability and the development of ecosystems and control the effects of climate change," said Sultan Alwan, a spokesman for the ministry.

Khamis Al Mamari, Director General of the Fujairah Center for Adventures, said the Memorandum of Understanding was signed in accordance with the instructions of His Highness Sheikh Muhammad bin Hamad bin Muhammad al-Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, regarding the protection of the marine environment and reserves and attracting more diving enthusiasts to the emirate.
