Dead whale washed ashore in the United Arab Emirates.
The carcass of a dead whale was towed to the port of Khor Fakkan in the UAE on Monday, November 27, after it was found in coastal waters by port officials.
According to witnesses, the carcass of a whale from 18 to 27 meters in size was washed ashore near the waters of the seaport of Khor Fakkan. Judging by the wounds, the whale died from damage caused by the propeller blades of a large vessel.
The municipality, coast guard and police teams arrived at the scene and managed to get the carcass out of the water.
A port official said authorities had not yet identified the type of whale, and his body was transferred to Kalbu for further study.
