Sheikh Lubna Al-Qashimi entered the hundred most influential women in the world

UAE Minister of Economy Sheikh Lubna Bint Khaled Al Qasimi is on the Forbes list of 100 most influential women in the world.
Among the merits of the first emirate woman, who was entrusted with the minister’s portfolio in 2004, the magazine notes ensuring transparency in managing the national economy, negotiation skills, clear planning of trade relations, and increasing the country's credibility.
Sheikh Lubna is among the first hundred outstanding women of the world, along with three other prominent representatives of the Arab countries. Among them are the Jordanian Queen Rania, the wife of the Qatari Emir Sheikh Mouz Al-Misned and the chairman of the Kuwait Global Investment Fund, Maha Al-Ghunheim.
The short, pretty Sheikh Lubna belongs to the old ruling dynasty of the emirate of Sharjah. She studied in the USA and was the first representative of the fair sex of the country who went to study abroad. She studied computer technology in the States and received the profession of a programmer. Upon returning to the country from California in 1981, the current minister worked as a specialist in the Dubai seaport and, according to the local press, made a great contribution to improving his work.
By the time of the widespread dissemination of information technology, the first emirate programmer was already a well-known specialist, had her own company and commercial site, intended to do scientific work. Becoming the first female member of the Emirate government at the age of 40 and over, Sheikh Lubna broke through the cocoon of traditions that fetters female initiative and became an example of female success in male Arabian society. During her work in the Ministry in an environment of favorable global conditions, the annual per capita income in the UAE grew by more than 15 percent, exceeding in 2005 28 thousand US dollars.
Sheikh Lubna also has a personal business. She produces expensive women's perfumes, part of the proceeds of the sale of which are allocated to the cancer control fund in her native emirate.
