LACOSTE has opened its fifth boutique in Dubai, this time at the Dubai Festival City. The 94-square-meter store is designed in accordance with the brand’s concept, approved three years ago - an elegant design with high-tech materials that emphasize the brand’s current trends.
Today, LACOSTE owns six stores in the UAE, five of which are located in Dubai (BurJuman, Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Center, Ibn Battuta Mall, Dubai Festival City) and one in Abu Dhabi (Marina Mall).
The LACOSTE brand, founded in 1933 by the tennis player Rene “Alligator” Lacoste, became the first manufacturer to use the image of the trademark on clothes and shoes. The first T-shirt with a polo collar, created specifically for Rene Lacoste, revolutionized men's sportswear and forced the strong sex to forever abandon the dense fabrics and classic starched long-sleeved shirts that were worn at the time for sports.
