There will be four categories of islands in The World archipelago.

The most prestigious and expensive will be sparsely populated islands, located along the outer perimeter of the archipelago, overlooking the open sea and having easy access for yachts and boats.

The World Archipelago, created in the Gulf off the coast of Dubai, is 90 percent ready. The washing and filling of a group of more than 300 islands, which will follow the map of the world with their outlines, is being completed. Islands of the archipelago will be divided into four types.

Hamza Mustafa, director general of The World Project, said that the most prestigious and expensive will be the sparsely populated islands located on the outer perimeter of the archipelago, overlooking the open sea and having easy access for yachts and boats.

The second group of Hamza Mustafa included resort and hotel islands, which will house residential buildings and a limited number of commercial buildings. They will be located near equipped moorings, convenient for use.

The third and fourth categories will include islands with a high population density, built up with multi-purpose buildings of low altitude, and commercial islands, which will house the main nodes of land and water transport, retail stores, restaurants, cafes and other entertainment venues with sea views.

All man-made islands of the archipelago in the Persian Gulf will be provided with access through water channels up to 5 meters deep. They can be used by ships up to 200 feet long and water taxis. The main channels and important intersection points of the archipelago provide for the construction of commercial moorings and car parks.

Hamza Mustafa said that the topography of the islands of the man-made archipelago in the United Arab Emirates, including land spaces and the water surface within the island site, can be changed in accordance with the wishes of customers.
