Zenith Introduces: El Primero Defy Classic Open Air Flyback Watch

Among the most memorable watch collections of recent years, a place of honor belongs to the Defy collection from the Zenith watch house. The Defy Classic line, which appeared in 2006, raised a sports watch to an aristocratic level.

Among the three models of this line, the most stellar is the El Primero Defy Classic Open Air Flyback, which is available in a limited edition of 200 pieces. The heart of this watch is a new version of the unique El Primero movement, operating at a speed of 36 thousand alterations per hour. This mechanism can be seen in action in the slotted window on the dial at around 11 o’clock, which is the “trademark” of the Classic Open line. By the way, the mechanism bridge is made of exclusive Zenithium material developed by the company's specialists: it is much lighter and three times stronger than steel.

The design of the new model is inspired by aviation technology, in particular, by the fast lines of the Falcon business jet. The stylized outlines of the wing of the aircraft can be seen on the guilloche dial, details of the coaxial descent, and even on the central links of the bracelet. The numbers on the dial are very clearly read, as well as the readings of the meters, which will be appreciated by the pilots - every second is precious in the air. In addition, the flyback function will be very useful for them, allowing you to turn on, stop and reset the chronograph functions in one motion.
