IWC Schaffhausen Supports Laureus Sports for Good Foundation

The famous German tennis player Boris Becker took part in the presentation of the fourth limited edition watch collection of the Swiss company IWC Schaffhausen. Part of the proceeds from the sale of watches from this collection will be donated to the Laureus Sports for Good Foundation (Sports for Good). The Swiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen decided once again to join forces with the Laureus Sports for Good Foundation, an organization that supports sports and social initiatives around the world. Laureus World Sports Awards, which was established in 1999 by Founding Patrons Daimler and Richemont with the support of general partners Mercedes-Benz, IWC Schaffhausen and Vodafone, are awarded annually by athletes for their achievements.

Since the Laureus World Sports Awards were held in Abu Dhabi in 2010, IWC Schaffhausen, represented by Chief Executive Officer George Kern, and Boris Becker, Vice President of Laureus World Sports Academy, decided to coincide with this important event, the presentation of watches - IWC Portuguese Automatic Edition and do it in the United Arab Emirates. On the back wall of the new IWC Portuguese Automatic Edition Laureus Sport for Good Foundation watch from a limited edition, an engraving of a 13-year-old boy from the island of Sri Lanka, who won the international competition of children's drawings, is engraved. The series is limited to 1000 copies. Each buyer of watches from this series will be presented with the book “Let the Children Play”, published by the Sport for Good Foundation since 2007.
