In the suburbs of Abu Dhabi, a lion cub walks the streets

In the suburbs of Abu Dhabi Khalifa City A, a lion cub roams around the streets.

Dubai, UAE. Residents of the town of Khalifa City A in the suburbs of the administrative center of Abu Dhabi noticed a lion cub loitering in the streets. The video with his image was widely distributed today, January 31, on social networks. Lion cub probably escaped from one of the surrounding villas.

It is worth recalling that the UAE recently passed a law prohibiting the maintenance of exotic animals, or so-called big cats, in private homes. Violation of the law entails a fine of up to 500 thousand dirhams (US $ 137 thousand) and up to six months in prison.

Currently, the supervisory authorities, together with the Abu Dhabi police, have calculated a villa that contains two lions. However, the owner of the villa claims that he sent the animals to Dubai before the arrival of the police. In the event that an exotic animal is caught on the street, it will be transferred to a wildlife center, and then sent to a zoo.
