The world's first falconry school opened in the UAE

The first school in the world to teach falconry traditions opened in the UAE.

Dubai, UAE. The first school in the world to teach the traditions of falconry, its standards and ethics, has opened in the oasis city of Al Ain.

The institution is named after Mohammed bin Zayed (Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces).

Its purpose is to preserve for future generations the heritage and history of both the Emirates and the entire Arabian Peninsula. The school will also raise awareness of the role of falconry, its importance as the art and heritage of all mankind. Theoretical and practical classes will be held in the desert under the open sky using traditional folk instruments.
